Remain employed - If you’re working, the better you can pay for your bills. You can even find ways to earn extra money while employed to help get rid of your debt faster. Being jobless cannot help you improve your score.

Don’t keep inquiring on your credit report - The more times you've applied for c. cards or loans, the more report inquiries will show up on your record.

And the number of report inquiries you have, can negatively affect it. Because this indicate that you're struggling financially or may have a lot of debt even if you never used the cards or gotten the loans. So don’t inquire too much to help improve it.
